About South Eastern Railway:
The Southeast Railway (abbreviated SER) is one of 17 Indian railway areas and is part of the Eastern Railways. He is based at Garden Reach, Calcutta, West Bengal, India. It includes the Adra Railway Division, the Chakradharpur Railway Division, the Kharagpur Railway Division, and the Ranchi Railway Division. The Bengal Railway Company Nagpur (BNR) was incorporated in 1887 [1] to take over the Nagpur Chhattisgarh Railway and to convert the line to track width. The work was completed in 1888. The extension of the mainline from Nagpur to Asansol was completed in 1891. A secondary line of 161 miles (258 km) linking Bilaspur to the coal mine of Umaria was built and connected to the line existing of Umaria Katni (1891).
