About the National Health Mission (NHM Assam):
NHM launched in 2013 by the government of India. It falls under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. NHM subsumed the National Rural Health Mission and National Urban Health Mission. This mission is further extended in March 2018 to continue until March 2020. The mission director heads the mission and the National Level Monitors appointed by the Government of India monitors the mission.
