SSC (Staff Selection Commission):
The Personnel Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization that relies on the Government of India to recruit staff for various positions in the various ministries and departments of the Indian Government and in subordinate offices. This commission is an office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), consisting of a president, two members and a secretary-examiner of examinations. Your position is equivalent to the additional secretary level of the Indian government. The Committee on Forecasting in Parliament has recommended the creation of a Service Selection Committee in its 47th report (1967-1968), which is responsible for conducting examinations and recruiting people at the lowest levels.
Later, on 4 November 1975, in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reform, the Government of India appointed a Commission called the Subordinate Services Commission. On September 26, 1977, the Subordinate Services Commission has renamed the Personnel Selection Board. The Government of India redefined the functions of the Personnel Selection Board through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Complaints and on 21 May 1999. The new Constitution and new functions of the Staff Selection Board came into effect . effective June 1, 1999. Each year, the SSC executes the SSC.
