About Kuvempu University
The Kuvempu University established in 1978 under the Karnataka Govt. The university offers various PG & UG Courses along with several research programs. Students from many places from Karnataka are studying in this university in various departments like Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Law & others. In addition to imparting education through regular mode, the university also provides the opportunity of distance learning through the Distance education system. As of now, the university has a total of 99 affiliated colleges wherein 3 constituent colleges, 30 Government Aided Colleges, 65 unaided private colleges and one college under the direct control of the university. The university merging Shimoga and Chikmagalur districts and stood epic center for religious, cultural and social movements of Karnataka.
