Firstly, Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha conceived the Nuclear Program in India. In 1945, the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) was established made by Dr. Bhabha to carry out nuclear science research. To intensify the effort to exploit nuclear energy for the benefit of the nation, Atomic Energy, Trombay Establishment by Bhabha was done in January 1954.
