The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is one of the departments of the government of Tamil Nadu. The TN PSC Commission is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service. TN PSC is the successor of the Madras Service Commission, which came into existence under an Act of the Madras Legislature in the year 1929. Also, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission was the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India. TN PSC adopted its current name in the year 1970.
