The GRE comprises two types of tests – the GRE subject test (subjects include Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, and English Literature) and the GRE general test (Analytical Writing Assessment, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning). The GRE general test is both computer-based and paper-based, and both versions are different. The General Record Examination General Test consists of 5 sections. And, the exam will be in two forms: paper test and online test. The 5 sections are divided into 1 unit for analytical writing, 2 units for verbal reasoning, and 2 areas for quantitative reasoning. Additionally, in the computer-based test, you should undergo one more section which contains questions about verbal and quantitative reasoning.
