Indian Statistics Agriculture and Mapping (ISAM) was established and incorporated as a legal entity Under the Government of India Act in 1997 under Section 25 of the Act, 1956. Indian Statistics Agriculture and Mapping (ISAM) is a non-profit and autonomous Organization which works with the sole object of “promoting commerce, art, science, charity, or any other useful object, and intends to apply its profits, if any, or other income in promoting its objects, and to prohibit the payment of any dividend to its members.” So, Indian Statistics Agriculture and Mapping (ISAM) under the Government of India Act “provides for the incorporation of associations which are not formed to make any profit commercially.”
It is an Organization limited by a guarantee. Indian Statistics Agriculture and Mapping (ISAM) also vide sub-section 6 of Section 3. Section 25 companies are exempted from maintaining the minimum paid-up capital required to be supported by other Organizations.
