About CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force):
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest central armed police force in India. It operates under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of India. The main function of the CRPF is to help federated/national territories in police operations aimed at maintaining public order and counteracting the insurgency. He was created as a police officer of the Crown on July 27, 1931. After the independence of India, he became the police force of the central reserve when the law on Police, December 28, 1949.
In addition to the duties of public order and counterinsurgency, the CRPF has played an increasingly important role in India’s general elections. This is especially true for the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, and the Northeast, due to conflicts and often violent conflicts. In the parliamentary elections of September 1999, CRPF played an important role in the security arrangements. Recently, Central Reserve Police Force contingents have also been deployed in UN missions.
